Hi everyone! This is my first attempt at blogging or web design for that matter, except for my angelfire page that all my friends were obsessed with ages ago.  This is a place to nurture my creative side and to log my new ideas. Eventually I would like to showcase my work here.  For those of you who do not know, the architecture industry has taken a disproportionate hit in this difficult economy.  I am excited to be using this site to develop new skills and become more excited about design and successfully making a positive impact on the built environment.  I named this site godesignhappy because when I was drafting toilets, ceilings, and stairs I was happy to be contributing to the project but I was most happy when I put the pen to the paper and unleashed my imagination.   Look around the office, isn’t it cool when your boss is sketching out an idea and has a smile on his face and a sense of excitement?  The memory of this excitement is imprinted on the spaces eventually built.  I hope that you enjoy the information to come.  It will be a little random at first, but a common theme and passion will eventually emerge.  It will be fun to let it happen organically and see what unfolds…
